His love is reciprocated. Their life together is portrayed by Puccini’s emotionally attuned music to the couple’s tragic love story. “La Boheme’s’ powerful portrayal of love and selflessness, inspired the contemporary Tony and Pulitzer Award-winning musical Rent.
